Border Battle Soccer Tournament

Welcome to the first annual Border Battle soccer tournament in Grand Junction, Colorado.  Hosted by Grand Junction Soccer Club, the 33-year-old, 1,500 member Western Colorado soccer club, the Border Battle tournament brings premier teams from the Rocky Mountain states, such as Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming and Nevada, into a single, premier-level tournament.

Why come to Grand Junction?

Grand Junction sits roughly halfway between Denver and Salt Lake City on Interstate 70. It is within driving distance of Las Vegas, Albuquerque, and Phoenix. The regional airport offers direct flights to Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Dallas.

At approximately 4,500 feet elevation, the area boasts over 300 days of sunshine per year. Mesa State College, with 7,000 students, multiple degree options and a leading Division II male and female soccer program, is located here. The area contains prominent fruit orchards and notable wineries that offer free tasting tours. Colorado National Monument, run by the national park service, borders the south of Grand Junction and Grand Mesa, the world’s tallest plateau at over 11,000 feet, borders the east.  Hiking trails, camping and picnic areas, dinosaur artifacts and world-class fishing opportunities are all here in Grand Junction.  There’s also rafting trips in the Colorado River, bicycle tours and trails throughout the valley and a historic, art-filled downtown.

Grand Junction is a family-oriented town, and we hope you’ll bring yours to the Border Battle tournament.
